DANCE

Ballet Folklorico and Flamenco gives students the opportunity to perform before live audiences and promotes the beauty and passion our Hispanic Culture Traditions.  Our dance programs include the dances from all regions of Mexico and Spain. Students learn the history of each dance and choreography.  Beginners - (ages 5 - 9), Intermediate (ages 9-13) and Advanced (ages 13-18).

MUSIC 

Mariachi, students learn Latin sounds, upbeat tempos, instrumentation, harmony, moving of the fingers team work, "gritos", voice - singing and the history behind every song.  The instructors teach with sheet music and provide specific instruction per instrument.  It is also intended to help students gain motivation and self esteem to perform in front of thousands of people. Mariachi group – Grades 5 to 12.

The Hispanic Cultural Center of Midland is proud to present the Diez y Seis de Septiembre Parade. The parade will be on September 13th at 10:00am, weather permitting. We will organize at Bradford Park on the corner of E. New York Ave. and S. Jefferson St. The parade will begin on E. New York Street and travel East until it comes to Lamesa Street. It will turn right and travel south until it comes to the intersection of Lamesa and Florida. The parade will go West on Florida Street. Once they reach S. Colorado Street the parade will turn left (South) and travel to W. Dakota Ave where the parade will end. This is opposite South Elementary.
